In John 12:32, Jesus Christ said, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Me.”

The word “if” does not presume that His death, and the manner of it, were uncertain. The death of Christ was determined by God, agreed to by Himself, and it was predicted in the Scriptures. The cross of Jesus Christ is the standard, His love is the banner, and Christ Himself, is the Badge which draws souls to Himself.

Noted theologian, C.H Spurgeon said that every period of time, is in some sense, a crisis. He further stated that there never was a time (or will be) which could truly be called a crisis, in comparison with the time that our Savior spoke of in John 12:31: “Now is the judgment of this world. Now the prince of this world will be cast out.” Saints, judgment is coming to this world. This bears repeating – JUDGMENT IS COMING TO THIS WORLD.

The church of Jesus Christ should always lift up Jesus Christ, just as our Lord told us to do. Christ is the Light of the world (John 8:12); He is the Bread of Life (John 6:35); He is the Door, (John 10:9) by Him if any man enters in, he shall be saved. Jesus Christ is the universal Magnet! If Christ is preached, fully held up, straightforwardly proclaimed to the people, the effect will be, He will draw all men to Himself. Gimmicks, tricks, and entertainment will not do it.

Jesus Christ always chooses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. In Matthew 4:19, Christ told His disciples, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” He was saying to them, “Follow Me! I will teach you how to catch people instead of fish.”

The Apostle Paul said, “For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified” (1 Cor. 2:2) Christ wants people SAVED, not just filing into a building to congregate with the people of God. He has already told us, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Me.” When Christ speaks, it is done.
