MembershipHow to become a member
Becoming a Member of Spiritual Harvest Worship Center
Although Scripture does not contain an explicit command to formally join a local church, the biblical foundation for church membership is spread throughout the New Testament. At Spiritual Harvest Worship Center, we believe that we become members of the body of Christ through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. Our membership experience allows you to connect with a community of believers, enjoy the benefits of our community, and invest your God-given gifts and talents into our church and surrounding community.
All members are asked to complete the New Membership Class once they unite with our church. These classes will assist new members with understanding Salvation, Communion, Intercession, Evangelism, Baptism by Water, Baptism in the Holy Spirit, and Stewardship, and how to grow at Spiritual Harvest. We believe the New Membership Class is a very important class because it sets the tone and expectation for everything else that follows!
The New Membership Class is held once per quarter, on the 4th Saturday, of the first month in the quarter, from 12:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. (e.g. April 27th 2019). Once the New Membership Class is completed, the new member will be presented with their Spiritual Harvest membership card during the Sunday service. After you have walked through the door of fellowship, another one of our goals is to bring you closer to the heart of ministry. We will pray and ask God to help us assist you in identifying your gifts and talents. We encourage every member to join a group or ministry.
At Spiritual Harvest, we strive to make disciples because we are a Bible-believing church. We want our members to grow spiritually so that they, too, can disciple others. One of our goals for this class is to provide information about, who we are, what we do, why we do what we do, and the way we do things in ministry. As you come along with us on this journey, you are teaming up with a dynamic body of believers, at Spiritual Harvest Worship Center, who are doing the work of the ministry, in our church, our families, and in our community, to the glory of God.
We look forward to seeing you!
